Re: Missing posts

Just noted after clicking submit on a thread that the post didn't go, a message said that a reply had been made while I was typing and I might like to review my reply.

If you're the click submit then walk away type this could easily catch you out.

Edit: I since note Lad has already pointed this out.

Re: Missing posts

Maybe when you've posted beyond a certain number, the forum just gets fed up?

I might just turn off email notifications, they are a bit of a time thief anyway.
Like when HMRC email you at 7am on a Sunday with info on sickness and holiday pay. I know it's automated, but still

Re: Missing posts

I've been joining in with LfL's avatar quiz, but all my posts have disappeared. Honest.

Would have won too.

Re: Notes about the new site

Would users have a like score next to their username? Might start to look a bit cliquey.

I gave over using a forum that had a kudos point system, it made me want to barf.

Re: Deleting a post

Can you delete one indefinitely like before, if nobody responds? Sometimes ill ask a question and if nobody responds I'll delete it.
Especially if I've laid out anything I was in two minds about, if nobody is interested in helping then I don't want to leave a 'blog' behind.

There's something warming about a stock install of phpBB still serving it's purpose after all these years, while everything else on the web has been fannied about with and endlessly updated and 'improved'.
