lfl, I have changed the edit option to unlimited edits and kept deletion option to 30mins after posting. But you could just edit the whole post by deleting the content. Same as previous forum options.

eagle, to get to the latest posts you need to click on the latest page number not simply the thread title.

mtp, I also thought of that for the sponsors at the top but not all of the links inside the tab are sponsors so kept it as is in the mobile site version.

There doesn’t seem to be an ‘occupation’ entry on the profile options. Sometimes it’s helpful to know whether a poster is an optom, DO or something else. Any chance of adding this please?

Any chance of an option to switch-off lad's thrusting banana avatar?
I can switch if it so offends the learned gent. Last time I changed there was public outcry, admittedly around 5 years back.

I can't really tell the difference between the red of unread posts and blue of read posts... The yellow/grey combo of old was easier for us folk with colour 'issues'
Me too.

Done. Click on user to see their profile. If they've filled it in, it will be there.

But is that how you are actually using the forum? i.e. click on a subforum heading then see the list of threads, some read some unread, then clicking on the one you want?
On a desktop the unread also have a small block on the right of the unread circular red icon, so even if you were using the aforementioned method it should be easy to differentiate between them.

I would imagine most members use the "quick links" icon top left, which separates the threads into read/unread anyway.

I log on to the main index, and scan down to see what sections have new posts in them. Once in the subsection, yes, I click on the red box.

Never used the quick links before.

God knows why not, as it's quite useful!

We have upgraded to the latest forum software. See important notes below:

Loving the fact that if you do a search, you then get the option to re-run a search within the results

Does the search facility now bring up results if the poster name has less than 3 characters?

Seems to work for me so I'd say yes - unfortunately!

I'm no longer getting e-mail notifications when a thread I've commented on has been updated or when I receive a PM. I've checked my profile and it has my e-mail correct. Any idea why?

Michael, I assume the notification settings in your profile are correct?

Can anyone else confirm the no email notifications issue?
