Different problem with PMs

Post by Sunglass Queen »

I keep getting messages from admin that I have a pm in my inbox and then when I go look there is nothing there. :(

I have checked the times and it isn't because I have already looked at them.

e.g. Message 07.07 this morning from admin saying you have new private message. Logged in for first time just now and nothing there.

any ideas?

Thanks.

Turned up immediately.

Missing message still not shown up though - poor thing is obviously all lost and alone out there in the ether..... :(

although I suspect it was from either Optopopto or Burt so probably got delayed in the pub.....

They probably sent the pm from the pub, and then decided they shouldn't have done so and cancelled it - you know, like Ross and Brand didn't do.

Yes, I believe you can. If you send one, it sits in your outbox until delivered, so I assume if you delete it from your outbox before it is delivered, it will not get sent.

Boss - it can't be 'not get sent'. It could have it's delivery cancelled. Sorry to be so picky but it's working with Decay that does it.

I have just tried a PM to myself (YESSSSS. scientific test.. ONLY..)

a) it shows up immediately on the Inbox
b) it can be still be cancelled from the Outbox
c) therefore is immediately removed from the Inbox

Anyone want another game ?

oh dear, now got to go take that one step further - what happens if it has been read and you try and cancel it from outbox. surely it can't remove something from someone elses inbox??

possibly not enough bevvies! Hate to drink alone, it is the start of a very slippery slope.

Bored, bored, bored today - could feel my brain turning to mush - not a single thing to liven it up apart from in here - and even that has been slim pickings.

I suspect you have a stalker who keeps changing his mind. Sends you a pm, then can't follow it through, so cancels it before you collect. Think Hero is the most likely culprit! :o
