Many thanks. I used to flirt in my younger optom.com days but I've grown out of it now.

I tend never to go out on my birthday and talking to others with birthdays close to Christmas they have a similar view. Restaurants are full of Christmas parties and decorations and you cannot get rid of that Christmassy feel.

I'm staying in and cooking a decent steak with saute spuds in garlic, mushrooms, caramelised onions, assorted veg and a mean peppercorn sauce. If I manage to keep the wife out of the kitchen it will be lovely.
