new section suggestion

Post by superoptom165 »

Would it be a good idea to have a optical Media section for the forum?
This way people can share stories in the media newspapers, TV appearances by college of optometrist big wigs etc, radio programmes etc etc
It would be good to be able to share the articles for patient information, social media etc

Do you mean so that the public (i.e. non-forum members) can view them?

I think they mean so we can find them quickly and share them on our websites/facebook pages. Not directly with patients.

Both

For example yesterday there was an article in the Glasgow Evening Times on people sharing CLs for Halloween parties and included GOC guidelines on CL sales. That kind of news story is priceless when trying to educate patients.

The second reason is it collates all the news articles TV programmes etc into one place rather than forum members posting news in general and then someone else posting the same story in news&events

I think a sticky thread in this section would be ok - just for links not discussion. What did you want to call it?
