Post by ARTHUR »

Am a bit thick with computers so apologies if this seems elementary ....in a long thread with say 60 pages, how can I go directly to page say 34?

Not easily unless I am also thick. I have to use next or previous to go bottom up or top down.

The 'bar is open' has 255 pages. You could go back from 253 or up from 3. Alternatively go down the pub.

If you have an idea of what you are searching for it might be easier to put keywords in the search function and hope for the best.

In the address bar you will see the starting post, and there's 15 on a page (0-14 on page 1), so the following for example;

http://theoptom.com/viewtopic.php?t=30408&start=75

takes you to page 6. Change the end numbers to suit.

what Rick said - in any long thread the web address will end with

"start="

you can change the last number to where you want to start
