You reminded me of something I had meant to do for ages. One of my favourite Hendrix tracks is Dylan's All Along The Watchtower. I finally got around to giving the original a listen. I hope TOB can forgive me but I much prefer Hendrix's version. :?

Yes. An ignore button or hide function would be fantastic. I have seen something similar on other forums :)

and why would anybody need an ignore feature when they can just give topics they don't know much about a wide berth?

Smacks a bit of defeatism to me

I think SCB that once clicked the ignore button is "applied" to all posts by a particular member so that people never see posts by someone they find very annoying.

I can't think of anyone that might apply to, but hey ho.

If the Ignore function could be quickly switched off for an occasional check it could be useful.

I have zero to negative interest in the football threads and a few others (subjects!) that just clutter up the new inputs with bold entries.

I have made an interesting discovery. It is perfectly possible NOT to read every thread on here. I've been doing it for months and the world hasn't ended yet.

Try the 'mark all topics read' button Izo. It's so liberating.

Also - when choosing - I have found that the threads with 2 - 10 replies are generally the most worthwhile. Just as a rule of thumb, you understand.

Yes I know that, but they are visible when quoted by someone you aren't ignoring.

But they will become disjointed if posts go missing.

Rather than an ignore option be better for some to develop thicker skin and stop being so precious when shown up.
