New topic

Hey theoptom think you could add an 'off-topic' section, to encourage general mundane chit-chat. This should be STRICLTY policed to ensure no optical-related posts are made.

The general chat section seems very 'eyes' to me.

Nice pitch beechy, I'm not sure if using the word "mundane" to describe your suggested new category helps in selling your idea though

How about the following (new suggestions in bold):

Off-topic
- General optometry chat/questions
- Latest news/events
- Non-optical talk (i.e. general chit chat, no optometry stuff please)

?

advice

Post by batool »

hi
i think this site is really good and im glad i found it. i would love it more if there was a topic on admissions. general stuff about admission to optometry, where ppl can talk about their horror stories in interveiws etc and can give hints and advise on UCAS applications. i think it would help alot of potential optometry students. i am interest in doing optometry but information on admissions etc is very limited. i hope you take up this suggestion of mine.

thanks again for this site and i will be waiting for a reply

if a topic can be incorporated under an existing category, this option will always be preferred. it is important to keep the board streamlined. i am a member of other boards and its annoying when there are too many categories.

posting admission stuff under "University Talk" seems fine to me.

yeh i understand what you mean, but i think it will do more good than harm as many people have problems with getting hold of such info. im sure others would agree too.
