I wonder if there is a timeout setting in the cookie or forum software which renders the cookie session invalid after a set time. Does it work for a certain amount of time then stop?

Can you clarify if this is an issue since the server change (approx 3 weeks ago)?

I've had a look at this: https://www.phpbb.com/support/docs/en/3 ... -settings/

I will be modifying the cookie settings in the next week or two. Just to give a heads up (in case users experience issues). I will post here when I do.

Edit:
Could also be a bug in current forum version as latest version corrects something described as "issues with form token validation during login"

Ok I have changed the cookie setting. If you have any issues logging in, clear cookies/cache and then try again. Let me know the result.

For those that the cookie update didn't work can you clarify if you cleared cache/cookies and if so what browser, operating system and device are you are using.

We really need more info before we can pin down the issue.

Recently over past week my laptop has been logged out every other day. No major hassle but something new.

Update - started happening on my work PC also.
