Not much, the only people I can remember mentioning theoptom are myself, streaker, and ex speccies optoms to stay in touch (omega pet34) maybe a couple of others...

I think the answers here show a far less black and white situation.
It has quickly run up interesting polls and hopefully more to come.

A further break down of the most responded choice would be even more interesting.

One only has to look at the Guest numbers to gauge 'outside interest'.
True, this is very approximate and members' log-ins can apparently so appear if timed out .. BUT access is open to all comers.

Maybe you would give us the alternatives' links and say if such offer open access or are restricted to their own 'brand' followers.

We could then judge whether this alone and/or the other forums are ..

I queried who guests were some time back Hums said they are just random, and cannot view any of the threads.

You mean at the bottom? I believe alot of these are spambots who just open any of the webpages. These register as a user, even only as a guest, and don't actually have access to the relevant page. In the past, if a load have jumped on theoptom.com site, the users online numbers rocket."

Yes, which I was never, ever given access to, by accident, by whomever set up my accounts in previous stores
I have therefore never seen the forum so couldn't comment on the total lack of posts about competitors and the focus on sorting out issues within specsavers. Perhaps you should ask one of our resident jointees!
