Sometimes I get the above when I click on a new message notification email, is that because a post has been deleted?

Isn't it just because the next post will be on the new page and this is the new page? ie a blank canvas to post more nonsense!!

The links automatically direct you to the last page?

I know what you mean Rick - only seems to happen on the posts with loads of pages. I always get it on the 3 word post one and just just it on the bar for the 1st time

I think sometimes people make posts on the forum thinking they are getting free adveretising only to find that they get feedback from the members that they were not expecting. Usually these use their own name and/or company name. They prefer to remove any negative comments by wiping out the topic...

Well the last time I got it was after one of Humspoff's posts.
Can't imagine any negative comments coming after one of those!

I assume you are logged in, before clicking on the link.
If so, I only get it with the very long threads, when trying to view the apparent last page.
mcoptom, no member can delete a topic, only their post.

I think it is to do with longer threads where the post you've just made is the last for that page, for some reason it assumes there should be an extra page and once it has rolled over onto it it sorts itself.
Sorry if some of my threads break the forum and sorry if my advertising offends anyone (I have now been berated for both the cushions and the sofa!).
Off to hibernate.

Funnily enough I typed it although the other day a tekkie told me about Ctrl C and Ctrl V to do a copy and paste which would have made it a doddle.

Ctrl+X and then Ctrl+V to cut and paste - handy if you want to move something;
Ctrl+A to select all.

Ctrl Z is undo, Ctrl U is underline in word, Ctrl I italic, Ctrl B bold. Prepare to have much more free time on your hands - no more milliseconds wasted on clicking/mouse moving

I'm sure it's quicker to type negative negative negative negative negative negative negative negative negative negative negative negative negative negative negative negative than to remember all those ctrl codes.
Yes, it is.

I won't let you in on the fabled secret of shift + home, shift + end or the even more hallowed shift+ctrl+home or shift+ctrl+end. Don't even get me started on the alt gr + return to save time on www's although you don't even need that now.
